“This is a test. This station is conducting a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. This is only a test…”

“This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System. The broadcasters of your area in voluntary cooperation with the Federal, State and local authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of an emergency. If this had been an actual (Thermonuclear War) emergency…

…you should be instructed to gather everyone you ever loved or cared about in your life together (those that were not instantly vaporized in the initial blasts), give each other hugs and kisses, and say what you do not want left unsaid.

We rarely stop for a moment and seriously contemplate the vivid details of what our post-nuclear war reality may involve. From the moment the ICBM missiles leave their launching silos, we and those we care for will attempt to survive through the coming, unstoppable nightmare that will begin to unfold from that moment. Each of us will face a daily struggle to stay alive, and it will be so for many years into the future. We may be one of the unlucky ones who survives long enough to hold each one of those we ever cared about in our arms as they die miserably from surface burns, radiation exposure, starvation, hypothermia, dehydration, acts of lawless violence, overwhelming infection with a total lack of any effective or even available medical care, or any other number of lethal conditions that will inevitably and inexorably result from “an exchange” of even a small percentage of our world’s currently bloated stockpiles of thermonuclear weapons of mass destruction (WMD’s). The U.S. did not need to invade Iraq to search for WMD’s. There are plenty of them just a short drive from Helena, MT.

Do we know much, if anything, about the mechanisms that are in place to safeguard against the unthinkable, accidental launch of these stockpiles of unbelievably destructive power which presently reside in silos littering the plains of Montana and several other western states in the U.S? Could a computer “hacker” somehow devise a means of corrupting the computers which control the the launch of ICBM missiles? Could the human designers of these systems have miraculously, and for the first time in human history, designed a fool-proof, flawless system that will never malfunction and is immune from any and all possibly unforeseen contingencies? Will these systems prevent, under any and all circumstances and for all time, an unplanned and undesired ICBM missile launch? If you think that the answer to these questions is yes, then you are living in a state of deluded denial and you are unaware of the implications of the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

I can guarantee you that these weapons of mass destruction exist because I have driven by these installations many times, and I have run across them in back road areas of Montana where I have been eerily surprised to find them. One can feel the sinister intent built into these evil devices as you pass by these installations. The sensation is palpable to the individual who is aware. I can drive 40 miles from my home and in less than one hour be standing before the locked gate of one of hundreds of ICBM missile silos that contain, inside the silo, a “Minuteman III” (how “patriotic”) ICBM tipped with a thermonuclear warhead standing by, ready to fly thousands of miles to inflict destruction more wide-spread and more horrible than you or I can possibly imagine, with the turn of two keys. When (not if, but when) these WMD’s are purposely, but more likely mistakenly, unleashed upon hundreds of thousands of innocent people just like you and I who have had no voice in the decision to manufacture, arm, and deploy these thermonuclear weapons of mass destruction, we will see the apocalypse unfold. But, it will not be “God”, or “The Devil”, or “Allah” that brings this death and destruction to mankind and the biosphere of Earth. This travesty will tragically and ironically be brought about through our own actions (or inactions) and through our own decisions. Our future is shaped, every minute of every day, as we exercise our own Free Will. It is way past time that we, The People of Planet Earth who do not agree and do not support the insane strategy of MAD (“Mutually Assured Destruction”) as the very best plan that we have to offer to each other and to the biosphere of Earth, insist that our voices be heard!

And who speaks for the biosphere of planet Earth, and all of our relations? They have had no seat at the negotiating table. They have no voice to object to the fact that in mankind’s self-designed and self-imposed race toward total destruction, they are regarded as little more than billions of mute hostages in this silent but potentially devastating game of “chicken” that has been imposed upon them, primarily by the political and military leadership of the U.S. and Russia, for now well over over sixty years. Through a deliberate human decision, or perhaps more likely through a miscue involving our civilization’s “exchange” of ICBM missiles tipped with thermonuclear warheads, the plants, animals, water, and soil that make up the sacred (“entitled to reverence and respect”) biosphere of planet Earth will fair no better than you or I. You will note that I have written “planet Earth”.  I did not write “our Earth”. This planet is not “our” planet. Earth is the planet where human beings have co-evolved as a supposedly “intelligent” species in the Universe. This fact does not a priori make planet Earth “our” planet. Planet Earth is a part, a very important part, of extant creation, just as you are, just as I am, and just as all of the other animals, plants, water, and soil that comprise this dot of a blue planet in the Universe. No human being, or group of human beings, or country, has the right to expose all of it, every plant, every insect, every microbe, every tree, every fish, every bird, or every mammal (including you and I and those we love) to the past and present day, minute by minute risk of utter and complete destruction, for any reason. There is not and can be no valid justification for the WMD standoff that presently exists, every minute of every day, in our world today.

If one’s personal belief system allows for one to hold the position that human beings enjoy a privileged status, bestowed on mankind by the Creator, which gives human beings the “God-given right” to jeopardize, and to potentially destroy, what has taken perhaps 4 million years of evolution to produce in the abundant variety of animals and plants on Earth, then one is clinging to a belief that is not only wrong, but IT IS UNETHICAL, IT IS IMMORAL, AND IT THREATENS THE CONTINUED EXISTENCE OF THE BIOSPHERE OF PLANET EARTH AS WE KNOW IT. The belief that mankind has been granted “dominion” over the plants and animals of Earth is an antiquated concept that is inconsistent with evolutionary law and is an outdated mode of thinking which has allowed humanity to comfortably rationalize the immoral, current situation we have created and that now threatens our very survival as a species.

We must find our way out of this situation and we must do it now! The only way out of this situation is for President Obama and all world leaders to sit down together at the United Nations, come to an agreement regarding the unacceptable, insidious menace that WMD’s truly represent, and sign a historical treaty banning the manufacture and deployment of all weapons of mass destruction of every description present on this planet now and in the future. This is the only sane and reasonable course of action for humanity to take in order to prevent the inevitable nuclear holocaust that is one day going to devastate our civilization and the biosphere of planet Earth if we further delay in taking this action.

How will you and I help to make this happen? How will we go about making this issue one that political and military leaders must respond to?

We must make the ban on all nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons of mass destruction a political issue in every upcoming election. Perhaps we will need to start a new, world-wide political party that becomes so relevant in every country that it cannot be ignored. We must make democracy work to insure a future for our children, our grandchildren, and the biosphere upon which our species and all species depend upon for our survival. At political debates world-wide we must insure that the question “If elected to office (any public office), what will you do to insure that all weapons of mass destruction including thermonuclear, chemical, and biological weapons are dismantled, and the systems that produce and support them are scrapped”?

We cannot delay in taking this action, and we must do whatever each of us can do to make this issue a priority issue for every political figure seeking to occupy any public office, anywhere in the world. What good is a local school board if there are no schools and there are no children? What will the city commissioners have to do when there is no city? Complete, world-wide nuclear disarmament is absolutely basic and crucial to any and all other discussion relative to human lives and the biosphere of planet Earth. If we cannot get it done, at sometime in the future none of the rest of it will matter.

Included is an example letter that needs to be sent to every elected politician and every military leader who are elected to represent The People of Planet Earth. Please feel free to copy it and modify it to fit your own style of expression, but please get the message across that you and I will settle for nothing less than a complete, world-wide ban of WMD’s including chemical, biological, and thermonuclear weapons, now and in the future.

This must be a global effort. This is not simply a problem of U.S. citizens, but is instead a problem of every adult woman and man on planet Earth. If you have access to them, please let CCRF know the addresses of other world leaders who need to be present at the negotiating table. In the initiation of this effort we have no time to waste. That luxury has already been wasted by our predecessors who did not have the foresight to put a stop to this MADness a long time ago. It is up to us, you and I, to make the dream of a nuclear weapon and WMD-free world a reality.

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear President Obama,

I am writing to request that you convene a meeting at the United Nations with every world leader who will agree to be present and to cooperate in an unrelenting and unfailing effort to negotiate an International Treaty providing for an immediate, world-wide, monitored, and enforceable ban of any and all Weapons of Mass Destruction. This world-wide ban of WMD’s would include a ban on the very concept of WMD’s, and would include all chemical, biological, and, most importantly, thermonuclear weapons, now and into the future. I request that the treaty call for the immediate dismantling and scrapping of all systems which support every nation’s current stockpiles of WMD’s of any description.

It is entirely appropriate that you, the President of the United States of America, be the one to bring this proposal to the negotiating table of the United Nations. It was the United States that first deployed an atomic WMD, it has been the United States that has played a key role in the escalation of the nuclear arms race, and it is the United States that now has a moral obligation to instigate a world-wide movement to ban the design, production, or deployment of WMD’s and the menace they represent to Earth’s biosphere and to the progress of our own civilization.

World stockpiles of nuclear arsenals represent a grave and unconscionable threat not only to the citizens of the United States, Russia, China, England, France, Israel, Pakistan, India, North Korea, and Iran, but to every man, woman, child, plant, animal, tree, fish, microbe, vertebrate and invertebrate on planet Earth. Policies supporting the production and potential deployment of WMD’s for any reason are unethical and immoral, and no longer can we consider any WMD to be a viable option in the protection of U.S. sovereignty or in the resolution of international conflict.

That the U.S. would never initiate a pre-emptive strike using a nuclear WMD is immaterial. There exists no system created by human beings that is fail-safe and fool-proof. As additional countries work to come online with their own nuclear WMD capability, the discrimination of phenomena that represent a true threat to the U.S. will become increasingly complex, problematic, and confusing. An accidental discharge of a single nuclear weapon could potentially unleash a chain of events resulting in the total devastation of the biosphere of planet Earth as we know it.

As the stewards of this garden we call planet Earth, we must refuse to countenance any longer the situation whereby we, of our own free will, expose the biosphere of Earth and our own civilization to potential devastation through an act of our own choosing. The citizens and the biosphere of Earth have been extremely fortunate that a tragic and devastating nuclear WMD accident has not occurred thus far. Our luck could run out tomorrow. Humanity must act decisively to extricate our civilization from this WMD conundrum, and time is of the essence. You, President Obama, are the world leader that can bring this dream of a WMD, nuclear weapons-free world, to our reality.

I would be most happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with you as these arguments are presented to the U.S. Joint Chiefs, to the U.S. Secretary of Defense, and to any and all others who need to hear this message and act upon this proposal. Any support that you might require in implementing this proposal I am ready, willing, and eager to provide to you.

Thank you for your leadership and for your serious consideration of this proposal.

  1. Just wish to say that I’m glad I found your site and am very happy with what you’re doing. I’ll spread the word and hopefully others will support you and this important work. Particularly the disarming of all weapons is very important. Did you receive any reply to your letters? Sincerely, M*

    • Miranda,

CCRF has not yet received any responses to the letters you find posted on the our website, but few people have taken notice of CCRF. If we are patient and diligent in carrying on with this effort, good people will find us, and together we will become a strong voice calling for Contact with the Circle Makers, Disclosure of the ET presence by our governments, and the disarmament of all nuclear weapons world-wide. We can create a new reality if we work together. Thank you for you interest.

      Richard O’Connor, M.D.
